Spring Dreams Earrings

I used 2 side drilled malachite drop beads for this project. The dowel size used to make this wrapped knot is 3/16 inch diameter.
Cut the green 22-gauge wire into 12 pieces, 3.5 inches in length. Cut the magenta 22-gauge wire into 12 pieces, 3.5 inches in length.

Hold the end of one piece of wire against the dowel with your thumb. Wrap the wire firmly around the dowel one time. This is your first full loop.

Wrap the loop 4 more times around the dowel. Count the loops.

Cut the wire when you have formed 5 complete loops. Repeat this process to make twelve coils.

Separate each color way, and form a pattern with groups of 2 coils, 6 coils per earring.

When the knots are threaded through, use the round nose pliers to make a simple loop at the top of the eye pin.

Make a briolette wrapped loop using a 3 inch piece of wire.

Center the bead on the wire. Bend both ends of the wire up along the sides of the bead.
Bend one end straight up at the center of the bead, the other wire horizontally.
Wrap the horizontal wire around the straight-up wire to make two coils.
Make a wrapped loop with the straight wire, wrapping it back down over the first coil. Cut off remaining wire. Use the chain nose pliers to press any sharp ends into the bail.

Using chain nose pliers open each ear wire loop, and the jump rings. Attach the top of the eye pin to the ear wire. Close the loop. Attach the jump ring to the bottom loop of the eye pin and wrapped loop on the bead. Close the loop. Repeat with the second earring.
